Rikugien Garden in Autumn - The Prettiest Garden in Tokyo

Out of all the gardens in Tokyo, Rikugien is the prettiest among all. Unlike Shinjuku Gyoen or the Imperial Palace East Garden, Rikugien has multiple landscape sceneries which includes ponds, manmade hills, walking trails and viewpoints. I've seen photographers, artists, and videographers come fully equipped to capture this beautiful scenery that Rikugien has to offer.

After walking for about 10 minutes from the main gate of Rikugien, you'll meet the pond that shows a perfect reflection of the plants surrounding it. Read to the end of my post to see how it looks at night!

As mentioned earlier, there are various viewpoints that you can check out as you walk in the garden. Not trying to exaggerate, in my opinion, every spot can potentially be a viewpoint because the garden is just covered by the beauty of the maple trees!

And down to the infamous Togetsukyo Bridge. Visitors don't give this bridge a pass for photo because it is just so pretty. I'm super happy that my sister managed to capture a picture of me when I was standing in the center of the bridge!

Then we have the mini stream in the garden where I see videographers capturing their perfect moment.

So it was 4.30pm when I finished strolling through the garden and wanted to leave because it was quite cold in the open. But I saw everyone crowding near the pond (At first I didn't know what were they waiting for) to wait for the evening light up of the pond, and that's when I told myself that I must wait to see the beauty with my own eyes.

It was totally worth the wait, despite the freezing weather. If the weather wasn't that cold, I would have stayed longer!

Regardless, I would definitely crown Rikugien the prettiest garden among all the gardens I've visited. A must must must visit if you love nature.
