Karmakamet Diner - Your Secret Dining Location You Don't Want To Miss

Located inside a small alley which would be easily missed by many, even me, is the renowned Karmakamet Diner. It is one of the most talked about to go food location in Bangkok for tourists by tourists. Was it or is it really that great?

I went there myself to check it out and fell in love with the place immediately. First off, the ambience there is amazing. The interior of the restaurant has a retro look, while the exterior has a more nature-jungle-ish look. It is extremely rare to find a restaurant with such well designed interior and exterior. On top of that, Karmakamet Diner was filled with a calming aromatic fragrant which really sets everything into place. As I went to the restaurant around mid noon, the restaurant was quite empty and peaceful, which made me love this place even more.

Strawberry in The Clouds

On the debatable side, some felt that the main dishes were overpriced but some says otherwise. For me, I did not get a chance to check out their main dish because I was full from cafe hoping earlier in the day. Instead, I did try their popular cotton candy- Strawberry in The Clouds, just because it was too pretty to give a miss. Personally, I do think that their desserts are on the pricey side but the ambience does compensate for all of that!

The Strawberry in The Clouds were made out of a rainbow cotton candy with a strawberry shortcake base. Beware that this dessert is a huge doze of sugar for a single person's intake. I couldn't finish the whole cotton candy myself just because it was too much sugar for me.

Although this dish was the talk of the town, no one has mentioned about how to get around eating it. Initially when I was served with the dessert, I was actually having a hard time try to figure out how to eat the base. So I got the waiter to help me separate the base and the top, and I would suggest the same to you.

Regardless of how sweet this dessert was or how their dishes might be pricey, I would highly suggest to put this restaurant in your list of 'to go food places' in Bangkok!
