Sleep with Tea Tree Mask - The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask Review

Tea tree has been known for treating acnes and I've been trusting it to get my acne prone skin to behave. Since last year, I have been using The Body Shop's Tea Tree skin care series and am really impressed with the results of it.

It took me some time to find the perfect (up till today) facial wash for my face and the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash by The Body Shop has been my all time go to facial wash. For that very reason, my eyes brightened up right away when I realized that there was a Tea Tree Night Mask!

Looks quite clear on application unless a thick layer is applied

Since it was a night mask, I left it on throughout the night and washed it off in the morning. Unlike some night masks that I've used, this mask took quite some time to dry after application. I mean around 30 minutes. Not sure if it is due to me applying too thick of a layer? Even the part covered in a thin layer took more than 15 minutes to dry. After the mask dried up, it felt slightly sticky when I glide my hands on my face.

The mask looks green before application, but if a thin layer is applied, it'll look clear on the skin. On the other hand, I expected the mask to have a strong tea tree smell but unlike the facial wash, this did not have a very strong tea tree smell. Those who never fancied the tea tree smell should definitely check out this mask!

The night I applied the mask, I was having a ready to 'mature' pimple. I thought that maybe this mask would help with drying up the pimple or reducing the redness of the pimple but sadly it didn't. Then again, if the mask was capable of drying up the pimple, then my face would be dry after using the mask for a night. That said, this mask does keep my face hydrated throughout the night.

Personally, I think that this mask is more suitable for long term usage to prevent acnes but my personal go to would be the Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution (not too sure why I suddenly couldn't find it on the Singapore website). I liked the daily solution as it does oil control on the face really well and external causes of acnes are mainly due to oily skin.

Acne is definitely not easy to cure for those who are more prone to it. I wasn't having extreme acne issues but it was quite serious compared to my peers when I was younger. The Body Shop tea tree range definitely did make a difference on my face so I'd advice you out there to give it a try!
